This indeed is a very rare car as an automatic example, it must be one of only a small handful ever built as such.
Today the car still looks magnificent in its glossy opalescent grey metallic. The body panels, the shut lines, and the paint finish are all excellent as is all the trim both inside and out. The engine bay is dry and very clean and tidy. The engine starts easily on a flick of the key and idles nicely on choke for a moment or two before pushing it back in, settling down to a smooth idle with the lovely V8 hemi rumble form the dual exhausts. The driving position is comfortable, the throttle response excellent. It is an easy car to drive as the simple auto box helps to make negotiating modern roads and traffic a more pleasurable task. It has fully functioning heater and demister. It has a good turn of speed, sounds lovely and drives as straight as a dye with no untoward noises, vibrations or otherwise.
The car does not require any work either cosmetically or mechanically and is ready to use and be enjoyed by its next fortunate owner.
There is a comprehensive document file which includes MOT certificate, HPi all clear certificate, Jaguar heritage trust certificate, original buff style logbook, DVLA red V5 logbook, large quantity of invoices and sundry documents, magazine feature (copy) and parts catalogue. Original owner’s handbook, stage photos of recent restoration and original wiring diagram.
This is a beautiful condition 1 car, ready for the road.
