For those who don’t know, the Gardner Douglas Cobra replicas are among the highest quality and in particular building the car on the GD Jag Backbone chassis gives superior stability and handling, which is often lacking on many Cobra replicas.
This example was built by Mr D Bryan from County Durham between 1998 and 2004, SVA certification issued in 2003. The second owner owned the car from 2004 to 2023 some 19 years.
Only sold recently by the last owner due to changing circumstances.
The car runs and drives beautifully. The engine was changed in October 2018. The specification is not documented however, the previous owner verbally indicated that various performance upgrades had been carried out. The engine and exhaust notes certainly suggest this! It is a very fast car that sounds very similar to many race cars and gives superior high performance, with great handling too.
There is a large A4 history file with many invoices and details.

Unlike many other Cobra replicas, this car is about performance and handling. Its not all show and no go! It is very much a driver’s car. Delivering an adrenaline filled driving experience. It would easily also lend itself to track days and similar events. Although the previous mature owner of 19 years did not do this, but did use it for classic car days out, trips to the Le Mans 24 hours etc.
Ready for the next enthusiast and priced competitively.
Its fast and fun! £26,999
